VII. RATES, CANCELLATION, REFUND AND BOOKING POLICY
Hotel Cuevas del Mar offers two types of rates with the following conditions:
▌ FLEXIBLE RATE

Description: Booking with partial payment and free cancellation option.
Payment conditions:
• 30% of the total amount will be charged at the time of booking confirmation.
• The remaining 70% will be paid at check-in at the hotel.
Cancellation conditions:
• Free cancellation if requested more than 7 days before the arrival date: the 30% deposit will be fully refunded.
• Cancellation less than 7 days before the arrival date: no refund. The 30% deposit will be retained as a cancellation fee.
• No-show (guest does not arrive without cancelling): 100% of the total booking amount will be charged.
Modifications:
• Date changes are permitted subject to availability, provided they are requested more than 7 days before arrival and at no additional cost.
▌ NON-REFUNDABLE RATE

Description: Our most competitive rate. No cancellations or refunds permitted.
Payment conditions:
• 100% of the total booking amount will be charged immediately upon confirmation.
Cancellation conditions:
• This rate does not allow cancellations, modifications or refunds under any circumstances.
• In the event of a no-show, no refund will be issued.
Recommendation: We advise purchasing travel insurance if there is any uncertainty about your travel dates.
All rates are clearly detailed and available for review during the booking process under "View Conditions".

VIII. FORCE MAJEURE EXCEPTIONS
Regardless of the rate booked, Hotel Cuevas del Mar will consider on an exceptional basis duly justified cases of force majeure, including:
External causes:
• Natural or weather disasters (fires, floods, etc.) preventing access to or making the stay unsafe.
• Government restrictions: border closures, lockdowns, travel bans.
• Officially declared public health emergencies directly affecting the guest.
• Armed conflict, terrorist acts or serious instability.
Serious personal circumstances:
• Serious illness or accident requiring hospitalisation that prevents travel (supported by a medical certificate).
• Death of an immediate family member (spouse, children, parents, siblings).
• Urgent and unavoidable legal obligations (court summons, etc.).
Required documentation: For serious personal circumstances, supporting documentation will be required (medical certificate, official notice, etc.).
In such exceptional cases, the resolution may be a refund of the amount paid or a credit towards a future stay, at the hotel's discretion.

IX. CANCELLATION AND REFUND MANAGEMENT
• How to cancel: Through the "Manage Booking" section on the hotel website.
• Refund timeline: Between 7 and 15 business days from the date the request is approved.
